We are hiring a Mid-Level Civil Engineering Land Development and Utility Design!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop site layouts, grading plans, stormwater management systems, roadways, and utilities for a wide range of civil engineering projects.
  • Conduct detailed utility design and coordination, including water, sewer, gas, and electric systems.
  • Prepare and review engineering drawings and specifications, ensuring all designs meet technical standards and project requirements with minimal supervision.
  • Prepare and review engineering reports, technical memorandums, design documents, and presentations with minimal supervision.
  • Coordinate with project teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution from conception to completion.
  • Manage and mentor junior engineers and technical staff, providing guidance and support to ensure project success.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes affecting site civil and utility design.
  • Contribute to business development efforts by assisting with proposals if necessary.
  • Coordinate with local, state, and federal agencies as required for project approvals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. A Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
  • 3 to 5 years of professional experience in site civil and utility design.
  • Ability to obtain Professional Engineers (P.E.) registration in Texas within 1.5 years of hiring.
  • Proficient in civil engineering software such as Autodesk Civil 3D, BIM360, MicroStation, and utility design tools. HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, or MIKE knowledge is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to civil and utility design.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Valid work permit authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Having the E.I.T. Certification is a plus.
